Donny Osmond to sing with AI avatar of himself

Donny Osmond is getting ready to share the stage … with himself.

The singer revealed on social media that his show at Harrah’s in Las Vegas will now have him performing with an avatar of himself at 14.

“We are going to be making history together,” Osmond says in a video posted to Instagram. “Can you imagine sharing the stage with your 14-year-old self? Well, it’s happening.”

“Thanks to some mind-blowing AI and CGI technology, I’m going to be singing with Donny Osmond — you know, the one from 1972,” he adds.

He then gave fans a sneak peek of what to expect, with footage of him interviewing the avatar and asking him what it’s like performing with himself 50 years in the future. The avatar replies, “Well, it’s kind of like singing with my grandpa.”

“It’s incredible. This is something you don’t want to miss,” Donny shares.
