Len Presutti has been one of the preeminent members of the Boston Wine Community for decades. A student of wine for over forty years, he was the Corporate Wine Educator of the Martignetti Companies, a Certified Wine Educator by the Society of Wine Educators (of which he is member), a Certified International Bordeaux Educator, a Certified Spanish Wine Educator, a graduate of the German Wine Academy and a standing member of the French Wine Society. A professional musician for over twenty years, Len also holds a B.S. in Music Education from Berklee College of Music and has played with bands as diverse as Gladys Knight and the Pips and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra (under the direction of Warren Covington). His extensive exploration of vineyards include South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Chile and Argentina as well as wineries throughout the United States. Thousands have attended Len’s classes over the years, aiding in their professional development. He was also instrumental in the esteemed Boston Wine Expo, renowned for his dynamic Food and Wine Matching Seminar, which he conducted by invitation at the international Society of Wine Educators Conference in the Finger Lakes, New York. Len has spoken at numerous venues, including Harvard and Brandeis Universities and the James Beard House. He has also appeared on CNN,NPR, Channel 5’s Chronicle and as a weekly guest on WRKO’s Pat Whitley Show, but now Len calls WMEX 1510 AM Home Sweet Home every week for his “Wine by Design with Len on 1510” show and segments.
